Printing Your Story + Link-Up

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and timeshel, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #timeshelprints http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

You’ve probably guessed by now that I’m a bit of a photo snap-happy person. I am never without my camera… whether it be my iPhone or my Nikon, my camera is pretty much always on me.

I’ve always been the girl who takes pictures. In college I always had my camera with me and I was always the one who was snapping photos of my friends left and right. And that continued long after college and into my early adult years. And then of course after getting married and having a baby, the photo-fever only got worse.

#StitchFixVacay Part Two: The Hizzy & Photo Shoot (7)

I’ve mentioned before that I very much regret not taking more photos when I was younger… especially with my mom. Those are times I will never get back and images I will never be able to cherish. I try not to dwell on it too much, but it can be difficult.

And so, in many ways, I’ve overcompensated because I take so many pictures that I end up getting overwhelmed and I stop and say, “What in the heck am I going to do with all these images?”

Admit it, you’re guilty of it too. In this day and age where we don’t have those disposable cameras from the drugstore and we don’t have to load film into a clunky camera and where we can just snap, snap, snap away on our phones… it’s easy to suddenly find ourselves with 100, 300, or heck, even 1,000+ pictures sitting at our finger tips.

And that’s just of the last month.

One thing that I have really been trying to do over the last few years is be more intentional about what I DO with all those images I take. All those images are fine and dandy but if they just sit on my phone or on my computer’s hard-drive, well, then they are pretty much of no use. Because who knows what’s going to happen to them down the road.

Why aren’t I enjoying them now? Why aren’t I doing something with them NOW?

I’ve been printing family yearbooks every year, but that’s not really cutting it… and trying to cut down and ENTIRE YEAR’S worth of images into ONE 20-page photo book is pretty much like trying to pinpoint the best burrito I’ve ever eaten. It simply can’t be done.

This has a point. I promise.

I just learned about an AMAZING app and photo printing company called timeshel. And it was SERIOUSLY an answer to a prayer! It’s a new mother’s or father’s, a photographer’s, a DIYer’s, a crafter’s, a student’s, etc.’s dream!

timeshel is a montly photo printing subscription service that you can access RIGHT from your phone and GORGEOUS, high-quality prints of your images are delivered right to your doorstep. It’s insanely easy.

Here’s the gist of how it works:

  • You download the timeshel app on your iOS mobile device (iPhone or iPad) (right now it is only available on iOS in the App store)
  • You sign up and get an account
  • Select your subscription. They have two awesome options:
    • 1) for $5.95 you get 10 high-quality prints in a nifty envelope (awesome, affordable option for just trying it out!)
    • 2) for $14.95 you get 30 high-quality prints in the “shel” (aka: a gorgeous case that stores and organizes your images)
  • Upload your photos (either 10 or 30, depending on your subscription) directly to the timeshel app from your iPhone or iPad
  • At the end of the month, timeshel downloads your images, prints them for you, and delivers them to you in the mail!

I got my first shel in the mail last week and I absolutely love it. The images are gorgeous and REALLY high quality.

I LOVE that they print square or standard, depending on the image (PERFECT for you Instagram lovers!).

I LOVE that I can set the app to remind me daily, weekly, or monthly to add images to the “story.” That way I don’t have to go back and do it all at once. I can do it a little bit at a time and then as soon as the month comes to an end, I don’t even have to think about it. My images are in there and ready to be printed!

And I love that I now that this great way to either organize them in their shel, or I can add them to a photo album or even do some fun DIY crafts with them! I can also easily update frames around the house, too.

So, photo-taking friends, if you’ve been looking for a super easy and creative way to print and share all those images you have on your phone, timeshel is your new best friend!

What about you? Are you a photo-taking fiend like me? How do you print and store your photos? Have you tried timeshel before? If not, you DEFINITELY should!
